Fungus Among Us

About

Every year, the week after Canadian Thanksgiving, we host the annual Fungus Among Us Mushroom Festival in Whistler.

​

We invite expert mushroom gurus from the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island to lead talks, walks, and cooking demonstrations and tastings on Friday and Saturday that the public is welcome to join.

 

Tickets will go on sale here on Saturday, September 23, 2023 @ 12 pm.

Cost: $12 Adults, $6 Youth (under 18)

When: Friday, October 13, 7:00 - 8:30 pm
Where: Legends Hotel (Creekside)

Walks by Gurus

​

BC’s best lead walks at sites throughout Whistler. Please dress warmly. No dogs or collecting baskets.

 

Cost: $30 Adults, $10 Youth (12-17), $5 Kids (under 12)
When: Saturday, October 14, 8:45 am - 12:00 pm
Where: NEW - Meet at trailhead, choose from field locations below*:

  • Kids under 12 group: Lost Lake

  • Emerald Forest Group 1

  • Emerald Forest Group 2

  • Miller's Pond

  • Cal-Cheak

  • Spruce Grove

  • Bob's Rebob

  • Beaver Lake

 

*Trailhead locations are subject to change based on mushroom abundance, hope for rain! More detailed information will be sent to ticket holders closer to the date.

Join Chef Bruce Worden to learn and taste some delicious ways to get the most from your foraging expeditions.
