Welcome to the Whistler Naturalists Society, a non-profit organization whose mission is to increase local knowledge of and appreciation for the natural world in the Whistler area.

Monthly Bird Walks

The bird walks are held on the 1st Saturday of every month. Please note our current start time is 9 AM. 

 

The Green Lake Bird Walk on the 3rd Saturday of every month is on hold until spring/summer. Visit our Birding Section to find out where to meet for our monthly bird walks.

Fungus Among Us

This year's Fungus Among Us Mushroom Festival took place October 18 - 19, 2024.

BioBlitz

This year's BioBlitz took place June 6 - 8 and July 29 - 31, 2024.

In June, BioBlitz presenters visited the local schools and gave a public talk on Thursday evening. In July, the public talk was held on Tuesday, July 30.

Annual General Meeting 2024

Join us on November 12, 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Whistler Public Library for our Annual General Meeting where we will present some highlights from the past year, our financials, volunteer awards, and elect the Board of Directors followed by some social time with snacks. Christmas Bird Count 2024

Join us for the Christmas Bird Count on Saturday, December 14! If you are interested in being part of the count and/or helping to organize it please contact Shawn Mason.
